Product Overview

Product Description

THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK ON ANYTHING WITH A 10-SPEED TRANSMISSION, OR ON 2022 REFRESH, 2023, OR 2024 MODELS FOR SILVERADO AND SIERRA TRUCKS. PLEASE CONFIRM FITMENT ON THE FITMENT TAB BEFORE PURCHASING.

100% Power & Lifter Protection

Our Boost AFM & DFM Disabler will allow your Chevy or GMC vehicle to run on all cylinders, preventing active and dynamic fuel management from disabling cylinders. While these systems are beneficial for fuel economy they are terrible for your engine, and more specifically, your lifters.

The constant shutting on and off of cylinders results in premature lifter failure which costs thousands of dollars to fix. Our Boost device completely disables the system without reprogramming the ECU, making it completely reversible and undetectable.

Disabling AFM & DFM will not only protect your lifters but also make your engine run smoother, give you more throttle response, and reduce the hesitation you feel when you press down on the gas.

Why BOOST?

We designed the Boost device to address a number of weaknesses with the current devices on the market. Our device gives you all the benefits of disabling GM's fuel management systems at an affordable price, with the highest-quality, made right here in the USA.

Lowest Battery Drain on the Market

Other devices on the market, like Range, are known to drain batteries and cause your vehicle to not start if its left plugged in for too long. We engineered an extremely efficient low-power mode which only draws 0.71mA of current while the vehicle is turned off. On a standard 60amp car battery, this equates to 84,500 hours, or 9.6 years until our device would drain a fully charged battery.

Now, vehicles do have natural power draw that occurs so no battery can be left for 9.6 years and still start a vehicle. But, our device is guaranteed to drain less power than competitors and has been tested in our own vehicle for 3 weeks with no issues.

Made in the USA

Our device is engineered, designed, and manufactured in the United States. The main component is manufactured right here in the USA by an ISO certified printed circuit board specialist based out of Arizona. Even our packaging and packaging inserts are made here in the USA, too.

Easy Plug-and-Play

The Boost AFM & DFM Disabler plugs right into the OBDII port and starts working in seconds. It works by sending messages to your engines computer, telling it to not engage active or dynamic fuel management, rather than flashing and reprogramming your vehicles computer. This makes it easy to reverse and also undetectable. Simply unplug the device and AFM & DFM will work properly and there will be no evidence that our device was ever used.

Vehicle Fitment

Our device currently does not work on trucks or SUVs with the 2022 design refresh. It will work on early 2022 models pre-refresh. FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions that aren't answered below don't hesitate to reach out via our contact us page

Will this void my warranty?

No, this device is untraceable so simply unplug it before your trip to the dealer and there will be no evidence it was ever used.

What does the LED light mean?

When you initially plug the device in it will blink a few times, the blinking is confirming that the device has power and is attempting to establish a connection with the vehicle. Once the light turns a solid green it has established a connection and is functioning properly. The green light will remain on while the vehicle is on.

What will it do to my gas mileage?

A lot of users notice no mileage differences and some actually notice improvements. The constant hesitation and switching in and out of V8/V4 modes can decrease fuel mileage around the city. On pure highway driving you will likely notice some minor fuel economy decreases, but nothing major.

Does it reprogram my ECU?

No, our device simply communicates with the ECU by sending messages to it, not changing any of the factory programming.

Will it pass emissions testing?

This device won't have any impact on emissions testing, but you should remove it ahead of testing anyways as the emissions test usually require an OBDII test anyways.

Will it fix my car that already has a failed or collapsed lifter?

No. A collapsed lifter is a mechanical issue and will need to be fixed with a new lifter, unfortunately. This device will help prevent lifter issues but will not fix an issue that has already occured.

Does it cause any problems with the myChevrolet app?

No. This device works perfectly fine with the app.

Does the product have warranty?

We offer a lifetime warranty on our Boost AFM/DFM Disabler.

Does it add horsepower?

Disabling AFM or DFM doesn't add horsepower but it will give you access to all your power when you need it. There is a hesitation when you are in V4 mode and put your foot on the floor as it switches back to V8 mode. This will reduce that hesitation but it won't add horsepower per se.

How can I tell if it's working?

If the green LED light is solid green then it is working. Most pre-2019 AFM vehicles have a dashboard indicator telling you when you're in V8 or V4 mode so you can view that to confirm it's working. 2019 and after models with DFM don't have that indicator light since DFM can put your vehicle in V3, V4, V5 mode etc. so the only indication that it's working properly is the green light. If the LED light ever is not working contact us.

Does it disable auto stop/start?

Yes, it will disable auto start/stop.

Install Instructions

Plug-and-Play Install

Step 1: Find the OBDII port & plug the Boost AFM/DFM Disabler into the OBDII port, you can plug it in with the vehicle turned on or off. If the vehicle is off it will blink a few times and then stay off - if it is turned on then it will blink and turn solid green after a few seconds.

Step 2: Once the LED light has turned a solid green, the device is properly communicating with the vehicle and you are ready to drive!

Our device has very low power draw and can remain plugged in for weeks at a time without draining your battery, but if you don't plan on driving your vehicle for a while we would advise unplugging it.
